Reciprocal Privileges

Welcome to Hat Island!

The Hat Island Yacht & Golf Club is based on Hat Island (Gedney Island), a private island in Puget Sound. The small island is located just four miles west of Everett and east of Whidbey Island, measuring only about 1.5 miles long by 0.5 mile wide.

We're happy to offer your club members guest moorage and reciprocal privileges.

We have 40 feet of dock space available for reciprocal use, but please note that usage is:

Limited to 48 hours annually per boat/member.
Not permitted on holiday weekends.

Partners and Maps

Reservations

Reservations are requested so we can accommodate your boat and your party.
Yacht clubs planning a cruise must confirm their reservation with the Hat Island Office at least one month in advance.

Availability

Cruises are allowed during the "Holiday Weekends" (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day).
Members of yacht clubs with a valid reciprocal agreement are allowed to moor for a single night.
Pack Out All Waste: The marina has no fueling or waste facilities; you must remove all garbage, fuel, oil, and trash from the island.

Marina Fees

The Hat Island Yacht & Golf Club pays annual moorage for 40 feet of moorage for reciprocal use.
Vessels using this reciprocal moorage are generally at no charge, except for power.
Vessels in excess of 40 feet must pay the guest rate for the length above 40 feet.
A list of clubs with reciprocal agreements is available in the Harbor Master's Office.

Facilities

Fresh water and garbage facilities are not available on the dock.
We kindly ask that you take all your trash with you.
Our marina vending machines are the sole commercial option on the island.

Access

Our club house, with a member escort.
Club house has ice for purchase, kitchen facilities, rest rooms, and showers.
The community picnic area, including rest rooms and showers.
A nine-hole golf course – half mile walk.
A tennis court – 1/8 mile walk.

Registration

Notify the Harbormaster of your intent to enter the marina by calling 360-444-6656.
The Harbormaster is available all year.
Directions of the Harbormaster are final.
Please register and pay for power upon arrival.
Please fly your burgee / Officers Flag.

Golf Fees

A nine-hole golf course (half mile walk), $25.
Youth 12-17, free.
Child to 11, free
Bag of ice $3/bag.
Tennis court is free.
